Drinking systems are the ideal environment for micro-organisms.  

They feed themselves on the deposits of vitamins, medications and other additives given through these systems. 

These deposits are the so-called biofilm.  Therefore it is important that the biofilm is removed completely in between batches of stock and that thedrinking water is treated continuously during the occupation period of a batch.
